Habari ya mabenki Bongo leo imekuwa ikichanganya watu kupita kiasi, lakini taarifa ya Benki Kuu inaonyesha kuwa benki zote hazitatoa huduma ingawa kuna wadau wanadai kufungwa ni Banki kuu tu sijui kun amtu anaweza kusaidia kwa hili?

A BANK HOLIDAY
THE Bank of Tanzania (BoT) has designated 1stJuly,2008 (tomorrow) to be a Bank holiday. But a Bank holiday is not a public holiday.We therefore wish to inform the general public that all banks will be closed to the general public.This essentially means that there will be no service at all over the counter.
In other words there will be neither deposits nor withdrawals over the counter. There will also be no money transfers between banks.However, Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) will continue rendering normal services as usual.As pertains to whether bank employees should come to work or otherwise,this rests with individual banks.
The Bank holiday has been designated in terms of the provisions of section 64(1) of the Banking and Financial Institutions Act No.5 of 2006. A government Notice No.97 of 2008 has been issued to that effect.
